In Forma Studio on 23a Orinda Way, Orinda, CA 94563
Living Radiance is a group gathering dedicated to the introduction, deepening and integration of meditation, mindfulness, and nondual awareness in everyday life.
For more information about this group gathering or to inquire about forming a group with my support please contact me directly.
In keeping with the ancient tradition of dana, the event is offered on a donation basis.
Dana (pronounced dah-na) is a Pali term that refers to generosity. The practice of generosity dates back to the days of the Buddha who taught of generosity as one of the most essential aspects of spiritual life and practice. By giving freely, without any expectation, we expand our capacity for letting go and not attaching to outcomes. Through this simple yet at times challenging practice, we realize the disconnectedness of all phenomena and we are able to see and experience the deep impact that giving can have on us and those who we touch with it.
Resting, and directly exploring our experience through meditation and awareness practice, allows us to see more clearly the conditioned experiences that challenge us, and most importantly, reconnect to our natural state of unbounded openness: pure awareness.
Living Radiance then is a portal through which we can rediscover our true nature of pure awareness and begin to integrate its wisdom and insight into our everyday living.
The support and guidance offered through Living Radiance are derived by my direct experience and practice of Zen (more specifically Ch’an Buddhism – the original form of Zen), Vipassana (Insight Meditation), Mindfulness Meditation, Tibetan Buddhism, Dzogchen, Mahamudra, Madhyamaka, and the timeless teachings of nondual wisdom arising from these traditions.
The current group is the result of an ongoing process started in 2010 when, after more than a decade of dedicated spiritual practice and study, I was moved by the desire to share the invaluable impact and insight of meditative practices and nondual wisdom in my life. This process was also supported and encouraged by my teacher Peter Fenner.
I’d like to thank all of you who with your dedication, participation and support make this gathering possible.
My infinite gratitude for the blessing of Dharma and meditation guidance goes to Peter Fenner (in the Vajrayana and nondual wisdom traditions), Rupert Spira (in the nondual wisdom tradition) Jian Hu Shifu (in the Ch’an (Zen) tradition), Anam Thubten Rinpoche (in the Vajrayana tradition), Jack Kornfield, Tara Brach, Trudy Goodman, Mark Coleman, and James Baraz (in the Vipassana tradition). I also owe much gratitude to Ken Bradford and Popa Robjan Rinpoche.
